due to some negative reviews we expected a worst case. What we found was more than reasonable for the rate we paid. The room as well as kitchen equipment were clean and everything worked fine. Free Wifi is available but it is a little bit slowly. The door locks are not the best one and should be exchanged but a camera is installed! Bus station 2 minutes and a small shop 5 minutes are nearby. We stayed 7 nights and we would come again! We can recommend this place to other budget travelers. Very nice apartment with seaview.
The place is clean, spacious and has everything you need. We had a very warm welcome with refreshing drinks and were provided with a lot of information including maps of the island and the bus schedule! I would highly recommend staying here. We spent 3 nights in the Sunset Beach Hotel for our anniversary trip around Seychelles and we loved it. Our room on the beach was big and clean, the beach itself so pretty and very picturesque and the food in the restaurant was amazing. Nevertheless the location is perfect! Very nice location, probably one of the best on Praslin. Helpful and friendly staff. As a 26 and 32 year old couple we are normally more budget, but wanted to treat ourselves.
Great 1st impressions - on arrival we were greeted with mocktails, and our bags taken up to our room. The rooms are fantastic, large and spacious with a bathtub in the bedroom, and a balcony where you can have a morning coffee and be visited by the local birds. The lower level p The lower level pool gets used by families, but next to the Waterfront spa there is a beautiful tranquil pool - sunset here is fantastic and you can watch fruit bats swooping. There was a balance of families and couples - a great place to go for a romantic break, to relax and also go on adventures. Owen at the front desk might just be the happiest man alive, and super helpful when we wanted to rent bikes and book a day trip to la Digue, answering every question we had.
We cycled up the coast to the Black Pearl gallery and giant oyster farm - well worth a visit. The cycle took an hour along a beautiful route. The local Tata buses leave from outside the hotel, but are for the brave - very fast around the hilly roads you get used to it eventually. The hotel arranges a free bus to Anse Lazio leaves 9. The food is delicious, and buffet breakfast includes a huge range of cooked and cold international foods. Highly recommend the buffet dinner on 'Creole' and 'International Taste' night around £40 for all courses, well worth it. The a la carte restaurant does fantastic octopus curry the secluded location and no buses after dark means eating at the hotel is the best option — there is a big variety of quality local and international food at reasonable prices.
All staff were fantastic - friendly, enthusiastic, always happy to help. The staff and the beautiful surroundings helped make this the best holiday we have ever had, and we are very tempted to return in future. We travelled to Seychelles for our honeymoon, and we're glad to have started the same with our stay at Surfers Cove in Mahe. Location is perfect and Gilbert and Barbara are the perfect hosts. The apartments have a breathtaking view. It's right next to one of the best snorkeling spots in Mahe, and we loved snorkeling there. Gilbert and Barbara are very kind and went out of the way to help us plan our trip, gave good suggestions and assisted us with whatever we needed. It's advised to rent a car in Mahe to go around and these guys suggested a good rental company and provided convenient parking space. We booked this hotel for a 3 night stay in the Seychelles. The resort is right next to the marine park, and we enjoyed exploring that area via kayak from the resort. The views from the Cerf Island helipad are incredible. We stayed in two different hotels in Seychelles but Castello Beach was our favourite one. Make sure you book a halfboard as they have great breakfast and dinner too with wide variety. Trust me we tried several options to eat in Seychelles but Castello was far the best choice. The room is spacious and it was cleaned each and every day. The pool and its outdoor seating The pool and its outdoor seating facilities are amazing and you can simply enjoy your sunset from one of their sunbed or even from the pool. The staff was really friendly and helpful during our whole stay. The nicest beaches on Praslin anse Georgette and Anse Lazio can be reached by a nice walk. New, modern, good location, the best restaurant in la digue. The only drawbacks I can think of is that the pool and the overall hotel territory are quite small. Just like be at my home,beautiful villa with great view from the balcony!

Thank you for everything. We spent five nights at Village du Pecheur - a lovely villa right on the beach. THe staff was friendly and the rooms were nice and clean. We had some trouble with the water one day something was broken but we were without asking for it compensated with a nice dessert after dinner one night. The beach was nice and clean and suited the whole family. At other beaches the currents could be a bit dangerous but here we could safely let our 8-year old play in the water. If we go back to the Seychelles we will definitelly go back to Village du Pecheur! When we arrived, Pierre the manager of Villas D'Or welcomed us and showed us our apartment. He directly invited us to the barbecue with the other guests that took place the first evening. So we ate our first creole dinner and got lots of tips from the other guests.
One day Pierre organized a rental car for us and we could discover the island. Instead of heading to the Instead of heading to the Valle de Mai, we went to Ford Ferdinand, where we had a private tour through the woods with a ranger who explained us everything for about 2 hours. It was great. Additionally, Pierre organized a perfect creole dinner at our terrace for a really fair price. The apartment was really clean and had modern furniture. The kitchen contains everything we could possibly think of. The apartments are located at a wonderful beach. We went for a walk, went swimming, snorkeling or just enjoyed the beach. The next shops are about 15 minutes away if you walk, but you could also rent bikes from Pierre. All in all we had a wonderful time at Villas D'Or. Thank you Pierre!
This hotel was wonderful! There is warm island ambiance. Quiet with great pool and beach. I was on the second floor and could hear the ocean from my bed draped in nets - another plus for the ambiance. The room was spotless and had a balcony for relaxing complete with a daybed. No place on Praslin is far from anything so location was fine. Several good restaurants ne Several good restaurants nearby. The food was typically Seychellian expensive price but very good. Island music on 2 nights. Dorothy at the front desk was the best! It was one of the best experiences we have ever had during our various tours and travel. This resort stole our heart when we entered the complex, a very well maintained and wonderful resort by the corner of Cote D'Or beach.

Location wise the resort got the best view of the beach. They received us with chilled juice however the receptionist was not welcoming rather little harsh. We stayed in cottage XX, and the view from the balcony is breath taking. It was a superior cottage with plenty of rooms where you can feel the openness. However, they need some improvements, like they provide water for only one day no matter how many days you are staying.
We had big clean bathroom and quality bathroom products shampoo, lotion etc. Walking distance from anse kerlan beach. We went with the half board option and although Seychelles is not known for its vegetarian food but the staff tried their best to accommodate us, which we were grateful for. Would've been good if they replenished water bottles daily in the room. Great location, great rooms, great facilities and beach. Only minus was that mails sent before our stay to arrange car hire which is quit a normal request on the Seychelles were not answered. We stayed as part of our honeymoon which we spent island-hopping on the Seychelles. First of all, the resort is utterly beautiful. The location is lovely, and the villas are spacious and very well-appointed. The swimming pool is gorgeous, so is the beach with lovely added touches such as hammocks. we left feeling rather disappointed. Once you arrive at th Once you arrive at the resort it feels like daylight robbery - everything is overpriced even for Seychelles standard and there is not really much to do - unless you pay a hefty price for it. You arrive by Hilton ferry which is the only way to arrive unless you want to go the helicopter route - at a EUR99 pricetag per person which is not justified for a minute boatride with the aircon not working.
All drinks were extra and honestly, EUR7 for a bottle of water or a soft drink is really pushing it. Only two of the restaurants allow you in wearing flip-flops which is unusual for a beach resort so our dining options were limited by this as well. We booked the resort for the wildlife and hiking but - surprise! Utter waste of money. You can hire bikes which are great quality and complimentary for an hour. After that they charge you an hourly rate of EUR7 which we paid for a whole day on La Digue. Some of the staff come across quite disinterested and rude. Although that is certainly not true for all, it is rather disappointing for a hotel of this level. All in all, despite the glorious location etc, it left us feeling a bit ripped off and disappointed.
We will certainly return to the Seychelles, but not to Silhouette. Firstly, the location is this hotel is fantastic waking up to the sound of the ocean cannot be beaten. Value for money is most certainly NOT what these island hotels are known for. There is nowhere on the island like this. To stay in a neoclassic style house which is right on the beach is a treat. Building on the beach is rare on Mahe, usually there is a road between properties and the sea. At Beau Vallon the length of the beach is adorned with big hotels which sprinkle the beach with their sunbeds. At Chateau Elysium you have the unique experien At Chateau Elysium you have the unique experience of staying in a spacious house or a generous villa with pool, there is a fun and relaxed atmosphere, nothing aloof or ostentatious, interesting and eclectic furnishings and a lovely garden with a picket fence and gate that leads you straight onto the beach.
A great place to stay for your holiday on Mahe. Fantastic resort and facilities and yet again with the Seychelles, some of the best and most friendly staff I have ever encountered! The sea at the time of our visit was a little too rough to swim in absolutely no fault of the resort! I Knew Banyan Tree beach was choppy but was surprised by this one, although it was not that bad. Villa was their panoramic view and wa Villa was their panoramic view and was incredible. The highest standard. Villas area quite close together, but this was not a problem at all. Staff were faultless and the most friendly and the food too was absolutely super! Would have no hesitation in recommending this place! Visited Constance for the day on Prasnin which also had super staff but was VERY happy with our choice. The beaches at Constance do have the edge and if you are a Golfer I suppose too, but the villas in Raffles are SO GOOD!! Also has the most spacious and best pools we saw in the Seychelles and we saw allot!
The communal areas in this place are actually the best we saw. We booked this place through Agoda well in advance so we got a decent price. However if we booked at rack rates I would have said totally over priced. That is the case with most hotels and even other stuff in Seychelles. As for the property it is ok with all the required facilities. Sadly though the service level of some of the staff is really bad. we had a bad experi we had a bad experience in the main restaurant with both the service and the food. They did give us the food free so made up for it somewhat. However we were not looking for free food. But many of the overseas staff are very good. so that kind of evens it out. Despite all this I would still rate this one of the best hotels in Seychelles.

We spent our entire honeymoon at Petit Amour and decided not to move from hotel to hotel, island to island and we are happy to have done so. They truly want your stay to be fantastic. I like the villa and the view, it was very dreamy and nice but I wished if they have a control on the pool water temperature as it was a little bit cold. The stuff were friendly and helpful. Everything were so good and I would love to visit the resort again. The only thing that i want to comment about is the food. There was no alot of choices. I recommend to have mor I recommend to have more restaurants and to add traditional food of mahe island to the menu. All staff welcome guests. The island is quiet and gives privacy ,Bring your needs with you There is no supermarket just a mini bar in the villa, The hotel manager is very helpful as well as all the staff would like to help you. Best beaches anywhere in the world, no touts or anyone pestering you to buy, most friendly people, a great place to unwind and relax. We only stayed on Mahe Island and drove around the whole Island. It was beautiful with gorgeous beaches and forest like scenary.
If you decide to stay on the main island then a visit to see the Bat man studio is a must, a guy has a pet fox bat, you can feed it and it will sit on your shoulder. So cute. Doesn't cost anything, we just gave him rupees. It's on the way to Anse major beach if you talk the walking trek from Bel Ombré. Great beaches, great environment and surroundings like the tropical rain forests and mountain range. Must visit La Dugie island and send the day there cycling especially with the family as children would love it. The Seychelles islands are amazing. Such great landscape. And I love how the it has both a big and small feel. You see the mountains and their majesty, the exquisite beaches, then meet with the very personable and friendly people. I would love to go back. Expensive but beautiful sums it up. It has a lot of "hotels", which could include someone's house. There was no tourist information at the airport. I found an information desk, but they couldn't even offer me a map or a public phone to call from.
There is no free or cheap wifi or internet available, in case you were wondering. There is no food available when you're in Duty free. So be sure to eat before you get to the airport. I'm sure the rest of the island is beautiful. Just make sure everything is organized BEFORE you're there, since you can't do much once you arrive. The most intersting thing is ocean and beautiful beaches. The weakest is shops and fresh food. When traveling to the seychelles you are best to take English sterling money and change to seychelles rupees when you get there. Read up on the place before you arrive as there is loads to see. Always ask a taxi driver the price before you get in.
The locals are very friendly. When staying in mahe you are best to hire a car. Tourist trap, beautiful beaches but not city center and no food. The locals were drugged out barefoot in the bushes. kills the 5 star hotel ambiance. Food is gross, threw my burger on the flood and starved cats next to me didn't even eat the meat. Most relaxing place I've ever been to with such nice people. Seychelles Vs Maldives? Seychelles wins! The most we liked la Digues Island, than Praslin Island, and than Mahe Island. Digues island is the smallest, there are no cars, just bycicles, and the nature is wild. I liked the island the view of the ocean was amazing but the weather was so hot but it was fine we spent the time at the beach and the pool. My favourite holiday destination. Have just returned for the 2nd time this year. We Traveled in June and the weather was great. We've just returned November 7th and it rained 5 days out of Check weather records before you book.
We've now visited 4 islands and each one of them is different. My personal favourite is Praslin Island. My favourite hotel Raffles, sheer luxury! My favourite beach is on Mahe,it is Baie Lasare,Heaven on earth! Beautiful islands and friendly people. I would recommend you visit several islands on one trip. My advice would be Mahe,Praslin and La Digue. If you have any time left try to stay on one of the quieter islands. We chose Silhouette and had a great time. Beautiful beaches, big waves and very tasty pizza! Very natural place with a lot of endemics on the island. Beau wallon! Thats were most of the tourist go - eventhoug it never is crowded on the beach.
The food is nothing to write abou. The taximis expensive. Busses go all over - could be scary though, the drive fast and the roads are tiny. The coast is flat, 5 rupee! Enjoy your stay, but travel if you dont need much action. Everywhere you go it is quiet. Nice place to visit for beach and sun but honestly speaking too expensive you get better bang for you buck in Zanzibar. the take away local food is very tasty better an cheaper comparatively. beaches are very clean an amazing views all over the island. It is a natural paradise. If you are the type of person to walk in the nature etc this is the perfect place. The weather was very windy and it was overcast most of the time July. Overpriced and overrated!!!! Seychelles Islands were very nice! The people were very friendly, the islands felt safe everyone spoke english. The island are clean, the beaches are nice in the winter, but I imagine they must be absolutely gorgeous at the right time of the year, when it's not raining, cloudy or windy.
The color of the water is very beautiful and must be even more gorgeous when the sun is shining. I recommend you go around and visit multiple islands and enjoy the beaches and water sports. The food is great, very nice seafood! A fantastic holiday spot that can be done many times over and never get bored. Has everything you can want on a holiday and a whole lot more. Very nice paradise like unique islands. Great to relax and perfect for honeymooners. Hotels are excellent. Beaches are awesome and you always find a spot where you are just alone. Prices are mostly expensive. So it's not cheap holidays. If you want it quiet and want to relax it's perfect. If you search nigtlife action and shoping, then it's less interesting. People: Everyone in the island was incredibly friendly and always helpful whenever we needed help. Beaches: For sure, Seychelles has one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

Perfect position, nice breakfast and owner has been very kind to offer late check-out and bring us to the jetty with his electric car. The property is a bit far from the heart of the island, but the island itself is so small than we could reach the "city centre" with about 10 minutes biking. Very good 15 reviews. We rented bikes from reception which were pretty good. I would recommend renting a bike as it is the best way to see everything. The villa we stayed in was well equipped and clean with beach towels changed as often as needed. We paid a small fee for wifi and it was pretty good as Seychelles wifi goes.

Stayed here for 4 days in early October. Only 5 mins walking to the jetty but it feels you are in the jungle with such a beautiful garden with rabbits, birds and even a giant turtle. What are the recommended resorts around Seychelles Islands for business travelers? I liked the island the view of the ocean was amazing but the weather was so hot but it was fine we spent the time at the beach and the pool. Great beaches, great environment and surroundings like the tropical rain forests and mountain range. Our stay was not long enough,would definitely return here!!
